Angular Style Illustrations (by Perry Rowe) A set of illustations in a style that relates to the initial stages of my drawing process. Whenever I begin a drawing, I always block in basic/ overall shapes of a subject, then continue refining and adding detail. These illustrations are based on the initial blocking stages which includes analysing angles of the shape to create the overall form. Every angle within each of these illustrations are matched. The experimentation of cutting out each part and painting then seperately like a jigsaw created a nice texture to the illustrations. DESIGN STORY: | Tumblr | Twitter | Facebook | Google+ |

Berlin (by Antonio Rodrigues Jr) Berlin is a group of display fonts inspired by the classic geometric typefaces from early last century. It features (so far) four versions, each one in three weights: regular, bold & X-bold. It is a work in progress and more versions will be added gradually. For now, allow, please, me to introduce you to the first four members of the family. Earlier this year, when Mark and I started working on Mr Red’s re-designs, we thought about creating a font system to be used on the sayings and promo material. I am still far from being a type designer, and the process was taking too much time. We ended up deciding for the handmade designs and the font was put on hold. Nonetheless, I kept on working on it in my spare time and eventually managed to finish a few versions: Berlin, Berlina, Slaberlin and Überlin, all in three weights (Regular, Bold and X-Bold, plus Berlin’s Regular Italics). They work great in headlines, branding, packaging, as well as large format text and are free for your personal and commercial use. My way of saying ‘Thank you’ to every and each of you who have been so supportive to my work. Enjoy! PS: They have been named after a song from R.E.M.’s latest album, which I was listening to over and over while working on the first versions of the main characters. PPS: All other variations will gradually come: In-line, outline, shadows, rounded, distressed, Roman, and a few more.
